  1. I have a Queen I bought from a lady down in Charleston SC a little while ago. I live in Myrtle Beach and I am in USDA Hardiness zone 8b and the Queen is 9a. I want to put it in the ground so bad but I just don't have enough courage to do it. Queens are pretty cheap so it wouldn't be too bad if it died. One person said that they think I have a warmer microclimate in my backyard. The "micro-climate" is where my Sylvester is planted, it is right by our lake that is pretty big and my neighbors 2 palmettoes. My guess is that the palmettoes and my Sylvester work together holding heat and releasing it in the night. Plus the water is helping by holding heat and releasing it too. Usually on frosty winter mornings my whole yard is covered in frost except the area by my Sylvester. Maybe it is a true micro-climate… If so, it would be awesome if it was 9a. What do you think? A warmer 8b or colder 9a?
