  5. In my experience: Greek people are communicative and open-minded people. They like to talk about things, and it takes hours to communicate which is interesting for me, maybe it's just me, because i like to discuss something with people, but again, in my experience most of them, they are communicative.

  6. Greece is very beautiful, taking under consideration its tourist destinations. On the other hand, there are surely some negative things, like the conservatism (which is a little bit medieval in its style in the case of a few priests, monks and villagers of rural areas) or slightly thuggish ways of parts of the population. The latter is something observed partially in poorer neighborhoods of big cities like Athens, being fed from both Greeks and foreign immigrants (like youth gangs in poor regions of Athens). Apart from this, especially outside Athens and especially except of some certain areas of it, the rest of the country is quite safe with easy going people who usually are not anxious and who tend to live peaceful lives.
    This is also associated to excellent local landscapes and excellent local cuisine which everyone has to taste. In many cases the Greeks are generally hospitable people, although one main disadvantage they have is that they tend to sneak a lot into the personal lives of other people. They are generally some of the greatest gossipers on the planet. They don't have the calmness of the western or the northern people, they are loud people and very passionate and sentimental and sometimes when there is sth going wrong they have a tendency to panic and shout, being also disorganized. It is a reality which many times can be also seen in the mechanisms of the state itself. Nevertheless, it is true that since many decades now, the country is not considered third world on this point as it has done huge progress on this matter, although still some problems may exist. Greeks are also some of the best people on matters of partying and feasts, which is associated to the excellent climate of the country and which gives the opportunity for people being outside for many many months throughout the year

  8. Μου αρέσει πολύ η Ελλάδα, γιατί δεν έχουμε να ζηλέψουμε κάτι από τις άλλες χώρες. Όμως τι να κάνω το ωραίο κλίμα, τη κουλτούρα, την υπέροχη κουζίνα, αν δεν έχω αρκετά χρήματα για να ζήσω;

  9. Athens is a dirty and dangerous city now for the rest of Greece it’s beautiful. Athens needs a lot of work to become a European city

  11. I had the unbelievably good fortune to have lived in Athens for over a year. The climate was great, the people were wonderful, and it was a beautiful city. A fellow American told me that I should go to San Francisco California, which I did and have been for forty years. She said if you like the weather in Athens, the hills and beautiful vistas, then I'd enjoy San Francisco. But Athens with the Plaka, the food-and wine-retsina, feta cheese, the olives, gyros, souvlaki, and the music–bouzouki, syrtaki ,Stratos Dionysiou and the vibrant night life in Athens-Opa! Opa!. Greece-what a beautiful, magical place. The people were amazing-laid back, warm, friendly, incredibly nice, very helpful to this visitor. Fortunately I refused to be an ugly American and was willing to learn enough Greek to order food in a taverna, take a cab around the city(I worked in Glyfada, lived in Kolonaki), and buy fresh bread, milk, cheese, and wine at the corner store. But after 47 years, I've not used the language, yet, peculiarly, I can still cuss in Greek (probably because of the feeling behind the words). The Daphni wine festival-drink, dance, eat, love life in Greece!
